Fat Loss Foods! No Muffin Tops!

Nobody wants to rock the Muffin Top right? Of course not!  I’m going to share some info with you!          Most people know what foods to stay away from in an effort to avoid the dreaded “Muffin Top” or overall excess body fat. Yet how many people know what foods will aid them in burning body fat?

The first thing people think about is cutting fat from the diet and going low carb. Now there are hundreds of different ways to go about getting trim and slim! All that i’m proposing is this, instead of focusing on what to remove from the diet immediately, let’s first start adding a few new healthy food choices that you may or may not be eating now. Then you can start to remove the bad things.

I will share with you three choices that you can add to your diet that will aid you in cutting unwanted bodyfat. Couple this with some high intensity workouts and we’ll have you in summer slim shape before you know it!

Green Tea:

Green Tea is loaded with nutrients and antioxidants and it’s an absolute sure way to get a clean energy boost. Green tea is a great replacement to an extra large sugar and cream filled coffee. More importantly EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate) a compound found within the tea can help to temporarily speed the metabolism after sipping it... therefore breaking down more fat! So drink up, a few cups a day or even prepare a cold pitcher and store it in your refrigerator for the days ahead!

Hot Peppers:

Hot Peppers have a compound in them called capsaicin. Capsaicin not only gives peppers their kick but it also heats up your body and helps you to burn calories faster! They also have more vitamin C than some popular citrus fruits as an added benefit! So Throw some peppers into your morning omelet or if you are feeling brave enough you can throw a piece into your chocolate protein shake for a nice kick start! Get creative, get spicey and get moving!


Lastly... Kale!! All hail the kale! This leafy green has be receiving a lot of hype lately and for many great reasons. Kale is full of fiber so it can help make you feel full and satisfied. Other benefits of kale are its ability to aid in digestion and  keep you running clean and not holding onto old food garbage, weighing you down by sticking to the lining of your intestines.  Kale is also a great detoxing food! Throw it in your salad or do what I love to do, add kale into your smoothie.  Here is a sweet recipe for you to try!

1 medium ripe banana (frozen is best) - 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries - 2 cups frozen or fresh kale, - 2/3 cup 100% pomegranate juice or Orange Juice - 3/4 – 1 1/2 cups filtered water. Add to blender,blend 40seconds and enjoy!

So there you have it, these 3 foods that can help you burn extra body fat! A little pepper in your morning omelet or afternoon salad. Some kale in your meals or a fast and easy kale smoothie, and finally a few cups of green tea throughout your day and you are on the right track. Add in some high intensity workouts and and now you're not only on the right track but the fast track!
